So what's the trick to making gold in WoW? In my experience, it's a couple of things. Patience, timing, and knowing what you are doing. Even the best gold makers didn't start making 200 gold an hour right off the bat. They found a way to make 40 gold an hour. Then they found another way to make 50 gold an hour. So on and so on. Over time, they refined their methods and eventually reached 200 gold an hour. Now, don't be mislead. If someone says they can make 200 gold an hour, does that mean they made 200 gold an hour once or average making 200 gold an hour. More than likely, they can peak out around 200 gold an hour, but usually average around 175 gold an hour or so on good days.

For instance, I've been using Derek's Gold Mastery Guide(also called the Warcraft Riches guide). I've hit almost 200 gold an hour a few times, but for the most part I can consistently make around 150 gold an hour without too much work. So is his guide a scam? I'd say no. I'm sure there are others who have his guide and are consistentl getting 200 gold an hour results. It's a matter of which server you are on on which tactics you use to try to make quick gold in WoW.
